What Happens in Saigon, Stays in Saigon

We’ve mentioned it a few times before…but, we’ll say it again.  The people that we’ve met along the way have been the best part of this incredible journey.  We met the amazing Mark and Evelyn (who live in Vietnam) just about six weeks ago when we were on safari with Melissa in South Africa.  We told them we would be in their ‘hood in the middle of November and they said, “Let us know when you are arriving and we’ll take you out on our boat.”  So, we stayed in touch and that generous offer made on another continent turned into one of the most memorable of our 75 nights.

After the boat ride on the Saigon River, we went to Mark and Evelyn’s beautiful home for some champagne and spring rolls.

Our gracious hosts, Evelyn and Mark.  We can’t them enough for such a fun night!  And, we can’t wait to see them both again in the US sometime soon so we can return their hospitality.     Next stop, Siem Reap, Cambodia.
