Goodness Glaciers!

The sun is (finally!) shining and we are thankful for that and so many things this Thanksgiving including our amazing friends and family.  Sending you all lots of love from El Calafate, Patagonia Argentina.

Today was one for the bucket list – we toured the Perito Moreno glacier by boat and then by foot (there’s a three mile trail of “balconies” that provide breathtaking views.)

 Fun facts:

·     Perito Mereno was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1981

·     it’s the size of Buenos Aires City

·     it moves at a rate of 1.5 meters per day

·     And, it’s so insanely beautiful that we’re going to let these pics do the rest of the talking

Check out the rainbow in the water!!!!!

Our hotel is also right in front of a beautiful lake – these flamingos and wild horses were just hanging around.  Only in Patagonia.

Sadly, Aubrey leaves tomorrow to fly back to New Orleans (via Buenos Aires).  Michael and Annie are moving on to Chili for the second half of this Patagonian adventure.

Aubs, we will miss you!!!
